Happy New Year COJ Children and Families! My name is Rachel Hsu, and one of my biggest highlights of 2011 was becoming your Children and Family Ministries Director. What an amazing honor. So here we come 2012! Well it’s time for me to put my hard hat on and get my hands dirty. One of the most exciting goals for 2012 is the completion of the Sanctuary basement for the new Children’s Center and Families too. Many volunteers and staff worked long and hard to create a plan, a lot has been done and now we are ready to continue moving forward. I can’t wait until we are all under one roof! Another goal for 2012 is curriculum continuity from 0-18 and beyond. Justin Porter, our Youth & People Development Pastor, and I have been working closely to discuss our children’s faith formation and how to incorporate our ministries to flow together and grow your children’s love for God. In addition to these goals, I am extremely excited about growing our family Ministry. We will be planning several family focused events throughout 2012, starting new classes for children as well as families and continuing to have a fun faith filled VBS in August and an awesome camp out at Camp Touchet in July for our 3rd-5th graders.
