Followers of Christ are called to engage the culture around them. But what does that look like? When we approach cultural issues, how do we overcome our biases and avoid being too secular, or too dogmatic? It starts with understanding. We should “Be slow to speak and quick to listen” (James 1:19), and our actions should reveal our redeemed identity in Christ – offering love and hope to everyone we meet.
It’s in living out our beliefs that we reflect the true image of Christ. If we allow God to shape our convictions through the people and situations we encounter every day, we begin to cultivate a humble conviction in Christ’s teachings. We are compelled to reach out to those around us, offering healing and redemption every day.
Join us in living out your faith, reaching out to those in need, and engaging the culture around you. You may be surprised where the journey takes you.
