Children’s Ministries at COJ is an exciting and growing department. All of our volunteers are committed to their roles as caregivers and Sunday School teachers as they provide nurturing and Christian education for our children, aged birth through fifth grade.
Our focus of is teaching children about Christ’s love, and providing support to their families. Ideas for strengthening the church-home connection will be shared right here on the COJ web site. Resources that present strategies for effective parenting will calso be included on the website.

There are many volunteer opportunites in our department. Some examples include:
* Teaching or assisting in a Sunday School class (preschool – 5th grade)
* Helping in the nursery (ages birth – 3 years)
* Working on special events for holidays, Vacation Bible School, or others
* Donating food or treats for various events
